About

Why I do this work

I became a psychologist because I believe people deserve to be met with real understanding, especially in the moments that change everything. Early in my training I worked at a hospital-based fertility center. I saw how much quiet grief and pressure people carried through treatment, often with nowhere to put it. That experience shaped the work I do today.

Over the past 14 years I've sat with people through anxiety, heartbreak, loss and new beginnings. What I've learned is that change rarely comes from being told what to do. It comes from feeling safe enough to look honestly at what's happening, and from having someone steady beside you while you do.

“Change rarely comes from being told what to do.”

My approach

How I work

01

Warm, not passive.

I'm engaged and collaborative. I'll share what I notice and offer tools, not just listen.

02

Grounded in research.

I use approaches with real evidence behind them, chosen to fit you.

03

At your pace.

Especially with trauma and loss, we move in a way that feels manageable.

You'll find me on a trail in the foothills with my rescue dog, Juniper, halfway through a novel, or trying (and sometimes failing) to perfect a sourdough loaf.
